Talk about a Renegade!

Everybody knows what -or who- Dell is. Right? Right. Now, more Q&A: Did you know that Dell is going for big-time gaming? I thought so. You didn't. Well... They are. And I don't know about them... I mean, Dell... And Gaming?...

Here's the scoop -or the specs- of the all-new Dell XPS 600 RENEGADE:

"The XPS 600 Renegade will feature an Intel Pentium 965 Extreme Edition dual-core processor that's been overclocked from 3.46GHz to 4.26GHz (and warranted by Dell for a year). It's also Dell's first PC equipped with Quad-SLI technology (four nVidia GeForce 7900 GPUs, for a total of 2GB graphics memory) which should enable high-frame rate, high-definition gaming at resolutions up to 2560 by 1600. Further high-end components include 2GB of DDR2 SDRAM, two hard disks (a 400GB 7200-RPM drive and 160GB 10,000-RPM Raptor drive) plus a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty sound card with front drive bay module."

One other bonus to this Mean Machine is Dell's 30" LCD. Oh, Did I mention that the price of this machine starts at $9930? Well, it does.

Let's just say it's a killer. In Size, Paint, Specs and Price. Check it out here.

If you're willing to dish out ten grand and are also willing to put up will Dell, get one. In my opinion, if you want a gaming system, just get an Alienware... Wait a minute! Alienware isn't owned by Alienware anymore... Who owns them?... Stay tuned...

I said I wouldn't... But I did.

I said I wouldn't rant and rave about Apple anymore but... I am. Again. I can't believe it... This is crazy... but I am!

"Say goodbye to the bulky expensive stereo and wall of CDs. iPod Hi-Fi puts out such natural, room-filling sound — with clear stereo separation — that you'd think you were listening to a multi-speaker setup. But no, it's a single, gorgeous unit that can fit almost any bookshelf, tabletop, or entertainment center."

Yea! Sounds great! (Pun not intended) Once again... look at the price tag: $350! Ack! That is just expensive! (I know there are some of you crazys that would like to have a white hunk of plastic that makes good noise and are willing to pay $350 for one but I sure wouldn't!) I mean, how many other "iPod playing stereos" are there that probably sound just as good that cost less than $100!? And you're willing to spend $350 for one that says "Apple" on it! That thing is heavy!... (-indistinct mumbling-)... You can see it here.

I end my complaints.

(Hopefully to never start again! About Apple, I mean...)

Sweet Car Update 5

Okay, I haven't posted a "Sweet Car Update" for a while so I'm doing one now... The car today is the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. (That's a long name!) I think it's rock'in sweet! (Note: This is not a concept car! That means you could actually see it driving around on the streets! You would have to be pretty lucky to see one though...)

"Inspired by the legendary 300 SLR Coupé of the 1950s, the new Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren is the perfect synthesis of tradition and innovation. Breathtaking performance, striking looks and the use of lightweight materials such as carbon fibre for the chassis make the SLR an unforgettable experience."
Now isn't that just cool?! (I got to get me one of those!) You can see the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren here. Stay Tuned!

Apples are Apples (But this is too much!)

Okay, yes I know that I have been doing a lot of posts on Apples but I just have to do one more. Here we go... (I hope you don't mind a little ranting and raving)

Everybody knows Apple and everybody wants Apple and everybody thinks Apple is very innovative and everybody likes it when they come out with a new awesome product (wow... That's a lot of "everybodys"!) but this time I think they (Apple) have just gone weird and over done it. (For once) This is the first time I've ever complained about Apple and hopefully it will be the last... The new Apple iPod case is going too far. (See below)

Yes, it looks cool and yes, it does have a big Apple on it and yes, it is leather and yes, is does say iPod... (That's a lot of "and yes's") but all of that sours when you look at the price tag: $99. "Apple! What's wrong with you? Don't you know that you can get much better (protective, usable and handier) cases for much less?" (Like $20 - $50!) I don't know... Some of you may be willing to spend that much for a case that says "Apple iPod" on it but I sure wouldn't!

I rest my case... (Pun intended) "Till some other more opportune moment..."

Could it be? The iPalm

Don't get me wrong. I'm not sure of anything so don't sue me if it doesn't come out right. Read this article on brighthand before continuing with this post. (Note: It is a rumor and has no sure output so don't take it too seriously) By the way, I highly recommend brighthand, it is a very clear and clean reviewing website. I really like it. (No, I'm not getting paid to say this) Anyway! Back to the apple handheld. Isn't that just cool? I should get me one of those... (This is a very confusing post... I'm confused myself... :-| )

Small is Beautiful... (Especially When it's Supercharged!)

They've done it. Apple's Mac Mini is now Intel based. You can't buy Power-PC based Mac Minis any more. (I'm good... I don't want Power PC any more then you do... :-) These new Minis are selling for almost the same price as the old Power-PC ones! (Actually they are $100 more than the previous models but I think it is because they have higher-on-average specs then the older Minis)

"The Mac that redefined what you can expect from a compact, affordable computer does it again. Mac mini now features the revolutionary Intel Core processors, more expansion options, and a new way to command your digital life — all in the same amazingly compact package."

These new Macs are also up to 4x faster than previous models and they have other added features such as 4 USB ports instead of the 2 and an apple Front Row remote too! Now... Is that cool or is that cool? "It's cool!" (Of course!) Check out their website here! So... When are you going to get one of those new-spiffy Minis? I want one! Stay iTuned!
